Questions schools ask

Before you try it

Which classes does it cover?

Nursery, P1 to P7 and S1 to S6, each graded the way its examination is: D1 to F9 with the PLE aggregate in primary, A to E in lower secondary, and UACE points at A-level.

Can one report card show BOT, MOT and EOT?

Yes. The beginning, mid and end of term exams sit side by side, each with its own aggregate, and the term has one too.

Does it rank S1 to S4?

Positions are off by default for the new lower secondary curriculum, because UNEB no longer ranks O-level. A school can switch them on.

Does it keep LIN and UNEB numbers?

Yes. Each learner keeps the Learner Identification Number from EMIS, and the UNEB index number once registered.

Does it need the internet?

No. Msingi runs on the school’s own computer. The internet is only needed for updates, off-site backups and the optional cloud version.
