Questions schools ask
Before you try it
Does it work out MSCE points?
Yes. Forms 1 to 4 are graded 1 to 9, Distinction to Fail, and the best six subjects, English always among them, add up to the points. Positions follow them.
Does it follow the harmonised calendar?
Yes. Three terms from September to July, as the Ministry sets them for every school on the national curriculum.
How does primary report?
Standard 1 to 8 report A to F, with the position in class.
Chichewa and English?
Both are there from Standard 1, and every subject can be renamed to suit your school.
Does it need the internet?
No. Msingi runs on the school’s own computer. The internet is only needed for updates, off-site backups and the optional cloud version.
