Questions schools ask
Before you try it
Are the Junior School learning areas set up?
Yes. Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Pre-Technical Studies, Agriculture and Nutrition, Creative Arts and Sports, and CRE come ready, and the school can edit the list.
Does it help with KJSEA?
Each learner keeps a KNEC assessment number alongside the NEMIS UPI, and class lists can be exported for candidate registration.
Can teachers enter marks for their own classes only?
Yes. A teacher sees only the classes and learning areas they are assigned, and nothing else.
We are a secondary school hosting Junior School. Does that work?
Yes. Grades 7 to 9 use CBE levels while any Form 3 and 4 classes keep KCSE grades, in the same system.
Does it need the internet?
No. Msingi runs on the school’s own computer. The internet is only needed for updates, off-site backups and the optional cloud version.
