Questions schools ask
Before you try it
Does it work out ECZ points?
Yes. Secondary is graded 1 to 9, and the best six subjects, English always among them, add up to the points. Positions follow them.
We have both Grades and Forms. Does that work?
Yes. The 2023 Curriculum Framework replaces Grades 8 to 12 with Forms 1 to 6, and both are here. Grade 12 leaves school at promotion rather than becoming Form 1.
How does primary report?
ECE and primary report Distinction, Merit, Credit, Pass or Fail.
Does it keep ECZ numbers?
Yes, the ECZ examination number once a learner is registered, alongside every province and district.
Does it need the internet?
No. Msingi runs on the school’s own computer. The internet is only needed for updates, off-site backups and the optional cloud version.
