NECTA ACSEE grading and division calculator
Each subject is graded A to F, with S for a subsidiary pass. The three principal subjects add up to the points and give the division; General Studies and Basic Applied Mathematics do not count. Type the marks to work it out.

How it works
The ACSEE divisions, explained
Each principal subject is graded A (1 point), B (2), C (3), D (4), E (5), S (6) or F (7). The points of the three principal subjects are added up, so 3 is the best and lower is better. General Studies and Basic Applied Mathematics never take a principal subject’s place.
The total gives the division: Division I for 3 to 9 points, Division II for 10 to 12, Division III for 13 to 17, Division IV for 18 and 19, and Division 0 for 20 and 21. The mark ranges are school defaults for internal exams.
How is the ACSEE division calculated?
Add the points of the three principal subjects (A = 1 up to F = 7) and read the division from the total.
Does General Studies count?
No. General Studies and Basic Applied Mathematics are not principal subjects and are left out of the points.
How many points is Division I?
3 to 9. Division II is 10 to 12 and Division III is 13 to 17.
Is this NECTA’s calculator?
No. It is a free tool by Msingi and cannot predict a NECTA result.
Msingi does this for every learner
Teachers enter marks once. Grades, points, positions and the report card for a whole class come out, the way Tanzania schools print them.
